Manchester Greens call for creation of new Greater Manchester assembly

The Greens put forward a motion at today’s council meeting calling for the replacement of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) with a new devolved authority which will include a directly elected assembly.

You are invited to attend our next business meeting which will be be happening from 6pm to 9:00pm on Thursday 23rd January.

At our business meeting you'll be able to find out what we have been up to and what future events and campaigns we have planned. All Manchester Green Party members are welcome, old and new!

This will be an online meeting with the option to participate over Zoom. Please register now and we'll send out the Zoom link nearer the time.

From a week before the meeting, you can find the agenda in the 'Files' section of the Manchester Green Party space. You'll need to log into the Green Party members' website to view it. You can also view the minutes there after the business meeting

January 2025 new members' online meeting – 27th January, 7pm

Happy new year and thank you for joining Manchester Green Party and for your interest in what we are about.

This online welcome call is for you to find out more about the history of Manchester Green Party and how it sits within the structure of the National and Regional Party. You will learn about what Manchester Green councillors are up to, our plans for the future, and how you can be a part of it. You will also have the opportunity to meet other new members and ask us any questions you may have.

We will be joined by one or more of our Green councillors and some of our active members.
